Amy,
I am not exactly sure about your question. A mineral is not considered good just because of its name. The crystal form and perfection are very important.
回复2:
Ni Hao Amy,
The best stones or the most valuable stones are called "gemstones"
A Gem is by definition a transparent mineral crystal. The most expensive are precious gemstones such as diamond, ruby, sapphires, emeralds. We can find those four in China but unfortunately the quality is poor. Semi-precious gemstones are aquamarines (beryl), tourmalines, topaz, etc
In China some of the very best minerals found are scheelites/aquamarines/cassiterites from Ping Wu/Sichuan.
Fluorites from Shangbao, Yaogangxian, Xianhualing mines / Hunan.
Green pyromorphites from Daping mine, Guilin.
Oranges mimetites from Pintouling mine, Guangdong
Inesites from Daye mine, Hubei
etc etc.
